About Me

Welcome! I’m glad you’re here.

I’m a practicing osteopathic physician, board-certified radiologist, student of mindfulness and meditation, and—perhaps most importantly—a fellow traveler on the path to greater focus, productivity, and well-being.

My Journey

My fascination with mindfulness began over 30 years ago, inspired by the calm and focus I saw in the TV show Kung Fu. That early spark led me to a regular practice of meditation, tai chi, and qigong—disciplines that have become the foundation of my daily life.

Along the way, I earned a master’s degree in anthropology, where I studied the interaction between human biology and culture. My academic journey deepened my appreciation for the many factors that shape our well-being, from cultural traditions to modern stressors.

Experiencing Information Overload

The next step in my journey was to enroll in Osteopathic medical school. Within the first semester, I had taken multiple courses such as gross anatomy, histology, microbiology, immunology and biochemistry. There was so much to learn that each day felt like I was drinking from a fire hose. The drive to succeed in this rigorous environment began my journey to create systems that would allow me to be more focused and productive.

Why This Blog?

As a physician, I see firsthand how our fast-paced, always-connected world can erode our health and happiness—especially for entrepreneurs and high-achievers. Social media, endless notifications, and constant demands on our attention make it harder than ever to stay focused, productive, and calm.

I started this blog to share what I’ve learned over the past two decades about managing stress, cultivating mindfulness, and making meaningful changes. My hope is that you’ll find practical tools here to help you thrive—at work, at home, and everywhere in between.

My Approach

I believe that personal development isn’t just about willpower or positive thinking. It’s about understanding how our minds and bodies work, and using that knowledge to create real, lasting change. Whether it’s a simple breathing exercise, a new way to approach your to-do list, or insights from my experiences as a physician, anthropologist, and mindfulness teacher, I aim to offer advice that’s both grounded and actionable.

A Little More About Me

When I’m not working with patients or writing, you’ll find me camping and traveling across the United States with my family in a van we converted ourselves. I love exploring new places, meeting new people, and finding inspiration in the everyday.
